ViX+ is the latest streaming service in the market. It debuted just yesterday, July 21. The SVOD (subscription video-on-demand) service is a product of the Spanish-language media conglomerate TelevisaUnivision formed following the merger of Televisa and Univision earlier this year. Priced at $6.99 per month, ViX+ boasts a collection of more than 10,000 hours of original series. It also offers exclusive movie premieres, live sports, news, and entertainment channels, both live and on-demand. The service is accessible through a mobile app or on the web at vixplus.com. Subscribers can simultaneously have an account active on up to three devices. TelevisaUnivision also offers a free, ad-supported tier of the Spanish-language streaming service, called ViX. But it’s the premium, ad-free tier ViX+ that T-Mobile customers are getting for free for a year. The service is available in the US, Mexico, and much of Latin America.
ViX+ will be available for free for a year to most T-Mobile customers
T-Mobile says customers of most postpaid voice plans are eligible for this offer. But those on rate plans such as Essentials and Simple Choice are not eligible. The offer is also not available to users of internet-only plans or on T-Mobile’s Prepaid service. Metro prepaid customers with an unlimited plan, meanwhile, are eligible. Additionally, T-Mobile is offering a free ViX+ subscription for a year to its Home Internet customers as well. Small Business customers with up to 12 voice lines are eligible too. Bigger businesses and Government accounts are not eligible. You can check all the eligibility criteria here. If you’re on an eligible T-Mobile plan, you can redeem your free one-year subscription to ViX+ in mid-August by visiting promotions.t-mobile.com/Vix. Metro customers can activate the Spanish-language streaming service through the MyMetro app, by calling customer care, or by visiting a physical store. Note that this offer is limited to one redemption per account. T-Mobile says this free year-long subscription to ViX+ will not automatically renew after a year. You don’t need to provide any debit or credit card information to avail of this offer. But if you want to keep ViX+ after a year, you can add a payment method and manually renew the subscription.
