Elon Musk’s era on Twitter started with drastic changes, from laying off thousands of employees to changing the content moderation policies and giving amnesty to Donald Trump and other banned accounts. The richest man on the planet is now auctioning off Twitter’s office stuff that are no longer in use. The auction starts on January 18 at Heritage Global Partners. If you want to see the stuff and their description, you can check Heritage’s website and BidSpotter. The starting bid for all stuff is $25.

Elon Musk sells Twitter’s office stuff through an auction

Most companies in Silicon Valley are known for their fancy offices and the benefits they provide to employees. Elon Musk, however, is not a fan of this and started selling kitchen appliances and office furniture. After laying off thousands of employees, these things remain unused. Musk already said Twitter is spending $13 million annually on food service at its San Francisco headquarters. There are over 800 items for sale, including fancy $1,000 chairs, tables, and kitchen appliances. A La Marzocco Strada espresso machine is priced at over $20,000, and a high-end meat slicer costs $10,000. You can also find a $17,000 industrial braising pan among the items. A Twitter bird statue and a “@” sculpture planter are also for sale at a starting price of $25. While most people might think this is a ridiculous act by the richest man on the planet, don’t forget that Musk took a $44 billion loan to take over Twitter. He also should pay $1 billion in annual interest payments. Musk already said that Twitter loses $4 million daily, and employees should either commit to the hardcore Twitter or leave.
